About Role

 

The Credit/Collection Analyst assesses and advises on customer credit worthiness to reduce credit risk, processes credit applications, and ensure cash collection in a timely manner and correct cash application.

 

Responsibilities

  • Minimize financial risk to the organization by assessing and advising on creditworthiness of prospective and existing customers.
  • Review and provide credit recommendation on new deals and upcoming renewals
  • Investigate credit applications and approve applications within established guidelines for companies and individuals.
  • Review financial position of new accounts and existing largest accounts and elaborate credit assessment
  • Liaise with corporate customers and other departments to resolve credit problems.
  • Review terms of payment on overdue accounts.
  • Give Input into improvement of processes 
  • Collaborate closely and support credit controllers in their efforts to cash collection.
  • Ensure that customer debts are collected by the cash collectors in line with contracted payment terms.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure that potential issues are identified at an early stage.
  • Negotiate payment plans and ensure that payment plans are signed off by the relevant authority.
  • Support cash collectors to ensure all debits and credits on a customer's accounts receivable statement of account are worked to conclusion with payment or internal adjustments.
  • Work closely with Cash collectors toward resolution of claims and disputes
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports: month-end reports, aging reports, etc... 

 

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in credit analysis of companies financials 
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience in credit control and cash collection is preferred
  • Able to set collection priorities based on customer risk profiles and amount past due.
  • Knowledge of different customer payment processes
  • Communication in English is must, German, Spanish or French speaking is a plus.
