Branch Manager - Tampa, Florida

The Branch Manager (BM) achieves sales goals through the promotion of medical education and training and leads the sales channel within an assigned territory. The BM executes the sales plan for the assigned territory by integrating sales channel goals with Acumed’s Mission and strategic growth plan. The BM builds and maintains sales relationships and ensures product training and promotion activities are available and supported within the assigned territory. (Made up of a territory with the approx. revenue of $5M+) The BM may also monitor and coordinate product inventory, equipment, and material within assigned region in compliance with corporate policies and directives.  

 

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Under the guidance of the assigned region’s Regional Business Director (RBD) or VP of Sales, the BM may build and maintain new sales channel relationships in the form of independent sales group and/or individual contractors who have been identified as having current and potential ability to increase Acumed market share and achieve sales goals in the assigned region. 
  • Regularly reviews and analyzes results of independent sales channel achievements to ensure continuing alignment with Acumed growth plans and/or goals.  
  • Works directly with RBD to set sales goals for each district within the territory; measures these sales goals with current sales channel results and may propose changes including additions/terminations to independent sales channel to achieve territory revenue expectations.   
  • Ensures all sales channel relationships are bound by a current, Compliance-approved Acumed independent sales contract and that requirements of and compliance to all standard operating procedures regarding interaction with HCP (Health Care Professionals), product handling and complaints, expense reporting, sales activities and required compliance and regulatory training have been appropriately communicated.  
  • Positively and proactively supports any and all compliance audit and reporting requirements related to independent sales channel relationships and activities.     
  • Provides input and feedback on monthly and yearly forecasts for the assigned regions based on current sales channel trends, product mix, competitor activities, Medical Education events and new product launches. 
  • Develops and maintains product line technical expertise. 
  • Participates in Medical Education events to support marketing strategies with a focus on Fellowship and Residency programs within the territory. 
  • Participates in Local, Regional and National industry meetings and professional exhibitions to maintain company image and remain aware of product requirements and new market opportunities. 
  • Works with assigned Inventory Analyst to ensure assigned field inventory within the territory is properly allocated to meet company inventory objectives. 
  • Liaises with Product Marketing, Business Services and Marketing Communications to create trade show direction and focus, ensures the appropriate marketing collateral is ordered and delivered. 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required. 
  • Three or more years of experience in orthopedic medical device sales management within the assigned territory. 
  • Demonstrated ability to handle customer product questions and objections in a way that is consistent with sales training methodology. 
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry and trends. 
  • Must be able to travel (fly and drive) regularly. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently in a cross-functional, team oriented environment. 
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, demonstrated ability to interact with other professionals to gather and disseminate information. 
  • Strong attention to detail, tolerance for time pressure deadlines and the ability to manage multiple priorities. 
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to deliver results with multiple and complex projects. 

 

Credentialing Required:

The responsibilities of this position include frequent surgery visits/observations. The incumbent will be required to obtain hospital-required credentials.
