Job description

At SecureAuth, we are an Identity and Access management company with the mission to deliver the most secure and flexible authentication experience for workforce and customer identities to organizations around the world. We're seeking a Temporary Staff Accountant for 7 months. This role will be responsible for various accounting tasks within SecureAuth, ensuring the company’s financial records are accurate and up to date.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare general ledger journal entries, fixed asset tracking, monthly balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliation
  • Ensure the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger
  • Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports
  • Analyze current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses
  • Generate and file monthly financial reports
  • Develop, analyze, and prepare periodic financial statements for timely distribution to management
  • Assist with accounts payable functions including but not limited to verifying invoices, expense reports, check requests, and purchase requisitions; entering data into accounts payable system, and processing weekly check runs
  • Assist with accounts receivable functions including but not limited to applying payments to appropriate accounts, monthly invoicing, reconciling customer accounts, and handling customer inquiries
  • Prepare and analyze monthly journals
  • Perform daily banking procedures
  • Maintain fixed asset and related depreciation schedules
  • Prepare monthly sales tax returns via Avalara
  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Prepare account analyses and reconciliation
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Proficiency in NetSuite, Bill.com, Certify, Avalara
  • Solid understanding of general accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • MS office with moderate/advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees

The US base salary mid-point range for this Temporary full-time position is $75,000 to $85,000. The base salary offer is determined by a variety of factors including skills, experience, education, training, and geographic location. Please note that this base salary range does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
