Job description

This is a remote position.

Profitroom - Empowering hotels directly

We are looking for an experienced UX Researcher to join our UX team.
In this role, you'll drive research initiatives aimed at optimizing guest booking flows (from hotel discovery through reservation and payment up to the arrival).
Our UX team is focused on providing the outstanding booking experience matching the outstanding standards set by our hotels. You'll be responsible for generating actionable insights and recommendations that will help us to achieve that, while also working on conversion optimization. And don't forget about the hoteliers themselves - you'll also support the research to address their unique needs.

Daily activities:
  • Conduct continuous discovery research focused on guest experiences and stay booking flows (B2C), while also supporting B2B research related to hoteliers and their tools.
  • Run qualitative (e.g., user interviews, usability tests, shadowing sessions at hotel receptions) and quantitative research (e.g., surveys, analytics).
  • Collaborate closely with researchers and designers to provide user- and data-driven feedback for prototypes.
  • Prepare and facilitate workshops to align teams on user needs.
  • Work directly with product managers and designers to plan and prioritize research initiatives based on business goals.
  • Present key hypotheses, insights, and recommendations at the monthly UX research meetings to democratize research across the company.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitor insights, prepare reports, and manage the research repository.
  • Collaborate with the data team to combine user feedback and analytics into actionable product insights, monitoring the impact of product changes.
  • Participate regularly in weekly UX team meetings and quarterly planning sessions (on-site in Poznań).

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a UX Researcher or in a similar role.
  • Prior experience in e-commerce and/or SaaS product environments.
  • Mastery of essential qualitative and quantitative UX research methodologies and tools.
  • Strong ability to synthesize data, transforming user feedback and analytics into clear, actionable recommendations that help product managers validate product-market fit and inform business and design decisions.
  • Ability to prepare concise and easy-to-understand research reports.
  • Proven skill in storytelling and effectively communicating research outcomes to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in planning and facilitating workshops using methods like Value Proposition Canvas or Customer Journey Mapping.
  • An eye for excellent interface design and familiarity with best UX/UI standards, especially in e-commerce and booking/shopping flows.
  • Exceptional understanding of user mental models, cognitive biases, and UX principles.
  • Proactive mindset—you identify research opportunities and contribute to product growth without needing instructions.
  • Fluent in English (C1 level), both spoken and written.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus!

  • We value individuals with broad perspectives; additional experience at the intersection of design, business, and/or analytics will be advantageous.
