Operations Excellence Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Excellence Manager specializing in data engineering and Google Cloud technologies to drive operational efficiency through data-driven solutions and cloud infrastructure optimization. This role combines operational excellence methodologies with technical expertise to transform our data operations and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes for data integration across multiple sources
• Optimize data warehouse architecture and performance using BigQuery best practices
• Implement data validation and quality control processes
• Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies
• Develop and track KPIs to measure operational performance
• Create automated workflows to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency
• Design and implement data governance frameworks
• Guide cross-functional teams in adopting data-driven decision-making processes
• Train and mentor team members on data engineering best practices and GCP tools
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process automation and improvement
• Lead change management initiatives for new data systems and processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar role
• Platform services, especially BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions
• Strong proficiency in data engineering tools and practices
• Experience with Python, SQL, and data processing frameworks
• Proven track record in implementing ETL/ELT pipelines
• Knowledge of data modeling and warehouse architecture
• Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies
• Experience in implementing operational excellence frameworks
• Strong background in process optimization and automation
