Yellow Brick Games is hiring a Senior Level Designer to join our team of passionate and experienced team of developers working on an exciting new project.

Yellow Brick Games Level Designers are storytellers, they are artists and of course they are designers of fun, engaging gameplay spaces.
We believe level designers are the bridge and champion of these three disciplines and by taking that holistic approach we create truly impactful worlds.
Our Level Designers
- Own the creation of both the game world and the gameplay scenarios within, responsible to bring them from just an idea to a final product, overseeing and driving that effort.
- Propose ideas and are proactive in driving them forward, working with directors and leads.
- Are great communicators, engaging with the team and pulling disciplines and people together, with a solution focused mindset.
- Seek improvements, offer constructive suggestions and take ownership of design decisions.
- Prioritise player enjoyment and continuously strive for quality in all areas.
As a Senior
You are the champion of what good looks and feels like.
Your responsibilities include:
- Design and implement compelling gameplay spaces, from initial concept to final production, ensuring a high level of player engagement.
- Collaborate with directors and leads to propose and develop innovative ideas.
- Communicate effectively across all teams (narrative, technical design, art, etc) to ensure a cohesive and high-quality game experience.
- Establish and maintain level design best practices and style guides.
- Create visually appealing and functional game environments, utilizing greyboxing, final art, and gameplay assets.
- Collaborate with the narrative team to develop and integrate compelling story elements within level design.
- Design and implement innovative gameplay interactions in collaboration with technical designers and programmers.
- Mentor and provide constructive feedback to other level designers.
- Develop and maintain level design tools and pipelines, optimizing workflows in collaboration with technical teams.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges, ensuring project deadlines are met.
- Create and maintain comprehensive level design documentation, including technical specifications and style guides.
Requirements
- 8+ Years of Industry Experience as a designer
- At least 2 shipped games
- At least 1 shipped game in Unreal Engine
- Strong ability to plan and have a good sense of workload management
- High degree of autonomy
- Strong ability to paper design & prototype
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Expertise in layout design & mission/quest design
- Experience in Unreal Blueprinting
- Ability to greyblock model for level design
Nice to Have
- Experience with designing mission based games
- Expert blueprint skills
- Ability to write and/or draw
