About the AMD - HP Field Application Engineer:
MarketStar is looking for a Field Application Engineer (FAE) to support our new AMD-HP Alliance team. The FAE will support field engineering engagement with customers as needed to demonstrate how AMD technology can support needs. The FAE will have a special focus on pre-sales activity as well as provide development support activity as needed.
Location: US - Remote
What will you do?
Establish and maintain strong connections with key stakeholders to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
Identify and secure new business by showcasing the advantages of AMD servers to potential customers.
Assist engineering teams throughout the development process, ensuring smooth integration and optimal performance of AMD servers.
Collect and relay customer insights to sales, business units, and engineering teams to improve products and services.
Offer expert advice to sales personnel and customers on the evaluation, design, and development of AMD-based server and data center solutions.
Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and propose suitable AMD products and solutions.
Coordinate with AMD Sales, Architecture, Development, CTO, Business Unit, and other relevant teams to accomplish account objectives.
Conduct informative presentations, training sessions, and updates for customers, partners, and prospects to demonstrate AMD's capabilities.
Convert customer business issues and requirements into technical engagements that showcase AMD's product offerings.
Stay informed about the competitive landscape and clearly communicate the unique advantages and value of AMD products compared to competitors.
What will you need to succeed?
Proven experience in server platform architecture and development, from concept to production along with debug tools, development tools, and validation workloads.
Knowledgeable in platform firmware features (BIOS, BMC, SMU).
Demonstrated experience in setting up and configuring server systems, including software, networking, and storage.
Experience with virtualization technology and hypervisor solutions.
A desire to continuously learn and stay updated with new technologies.
BS or advanced degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science) with proven professional experience.
Excellent problem-solving, time-management, prioritization, organizational, and collaborative skills, with strong communication abilities and a proven track record in CPU and server system architecture.
Ability to travel up to 40%.

The salary range for this position is between $90,000.00 and $100,000.00 annually. There are several factors to consider including but not limited to, the role’s responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, internal equity, and key skills.
