Job Description: The role of Corporate Learning & Development Specialist is tailored for a learning and development professional with experience in instructional design, training delivery, and/or project/program management. The selected individual will play a pivotal role in helping to create global development programs, initiatives, and processes. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success and will be instrumental in empowering our teammates to fully embrace Owen's & Minor's core values, mission, vision, purpose, and IDEAL Leader Model to own and drive their development. As part of the Global Leadership Development (GLD) team, this role will collaborate with a diverse range of teammates and key stakeholders across the company.
Core Responsibilities:
Works with the GLD leader to deliver on key pieces of the global development strategy
Partners with the GLD leader to develop, launch, facilitate, and maintain core global teammate development tools, resources, workshops, programs, and initiatives
3+ years’ experience facilitating development workshops, promoting company culture, and aiding in improving teammates’ understanding of development concepts
3+ years’ experience supporting the development, rollout, and maintenance of development materials, including but not limited to job aids, quick reference guides, tools, resources, and workshops
Understands and uses a variety of instructional design and facilitation techniques or formats that enhance the learning process and tie back to adult learning theory
Utilizes learning technology (such as Cornerstone LMS) to deliver hybrid and e- learning training and track enrollments/completions
Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned
Qualifying Experience:
Associate's degree or higher preferred (May consider equivalent work experience)
3+ years’ experience in instructional design, facilitation, and developing learning content, tools, and resources, preferably in a global setting
3+ years’ experience in project/program management or have strong planning skills, organizational skills, time management skills, and is detail-orientated
Must be able to perform work and thrive under minimal supervision (virtual work environment) and demonstrate the ability to handle issues and problems, knowing when and where to escalate complex issues
Possess the ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
Must have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team and individually
Proficiency or willingness to learn Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Forms, Publisher, SharePoint, etc.)
Possess the ability and desire to stay current on industry trends, tools, and techniques
3+ years’ experience with learning and development tools such as Cornerstone LMS, Articulate, Camtasia, Captivate, Canva, Mentimeter, Udemy, LinkedIn Learning, etc.
Experience with monday.com or similar project management tools a plus
Obtained industry facilitation and debrief certifications such as DDI, Franklin Covey, CCL, Vital Smarts, CliftonStrengths, DISC, etc. a plus
ATD, SHRM, or other industry experience/certifications a plus
Additional Information
The position is remote and located within the U.S. Some flexibility in start and end times may be necessary to support global projects, programs, and initiatives
Minimal travel may be required, advanced notice will be provided
