Position Overview

Goldcast is seeking a Vertical Expansion Specialist (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) Intern to work closely with our Senior Account Executive (AE) to develop and execute strategies that drive growth within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) vertical. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in sales, business development, and strategic market expansion while working in lockstep with a high-performing enterprise sales team.

Candidates must be located in New York and must be able to commit to 6 months and up to 40 hours per week.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate daily with the Senior AE to develop and refine sales strategies to break into new accounts and expand within existing ones.
  • Proactively engage prospects by name-dropping contacts from in-person interactions, securing meetings, and driving event attendance.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating meetings on the fly, especially when the Senior AE is on the road.
  • Manage top-of-funnel pipeline, ensuring accurate Salesforce entry of accounts, contacts, and opportunities.
  • Work with existing lists from internal teams (e.g., Jay) to identify target POCs and develop tailored outreach sequences (email, LinkedIn, phone calls).
  • Support event coordination by ensuring invitations are strategic, targeted, and avoid overlap with other team outreach.
  • Assist with post-event follow-ups, scheduling meetings, and enriching Salesforce records with new contacts and opportunity data.
  • Track outreach efforts and ensure alignment across departments to create a personalized, well-coordinated engagement strategy.
  • Assist in refining prospect lists, qualifying leads, and identifying decision-makers for further engagement.
  • Support sales collateral development and provide insights on outreach effectiveness.

Who You Are

  • Senior (fourth year) or recent graduate pursuing an undergraduate degree in sales, business development, or marketing within BFSI or a related vertical.
  • Strong research and data management skills, particularly in Salesforce or CRM tools.
  • Experience with cold calling, email outreach, and appointment scheduling.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Based in New York, with knowledge of the BFSI market preferred.

  • Relationship Building – Ability to establish and nurture connections with key stakeholders in BFSI.

Compensation

Goldcast is a remote organization with access to an office in Boston for occasional gatherings. Hourly Rate: $18–$22/hour (flexible based on qualifications and experience).
