Job description

Windsor Troy, LLP is a civil litigation firm that focuses on plaintiff's side personal injury and school/government liability cases. As a Senior Attorney at our firm, you will have the opportunity to focus on case strategy and professional development instead of time-consuming tasks that most firms assign to newer attorneys.

The right candidate will have experience taking, defending, and preparing for depositions and will have an interest in attending court hearings and mediations. Senior Attorneys receive mentorship from lead attorneys and participate in focus groups, trial preparation, and attorney skill programs. We provide extensive support, including AI technology to enhance productivity and efficiency. Trial participation is expected, but we will transition you into that part of the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file petitions for minor’s compromise with the court
  • Draft supporting documents, including declarations and settlement agreements
  • Coordinate with attorneys, clients, guardians, and court staff to facilitate approvals
  • Ensure all required documents are properly notarized and submitted on time
  • Schedule court hearings and manage filing deadlines
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on state-specific requirements for minor’s compromises
  • Maintain accurate case files and documentation in the case management system

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a paralegal handling minor’s compromise petitions
  • Familiarity with court procedures related to minor settlements
  • Strong legal writing and research skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, case management software, and e-filing systems
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal education preferred

Here at Windsor Troy, LLP, we offer medical, dental, and vision insurance. We have a great compensation package including a 401(k) plan. Some perks include complimentary parking, paid time off, and more! Come be a part of our growing firm and its opportunities for career development.
