Planning Data Analyst

The role:

This role is ideal for a data (SQL) and finance-savvy analyst with a passion for performance management. It’s all about helping us bring OKRs and Goal setting to life in a measurable and data-rich way. With key interfaces across the company, from the Leadership Team to our Analytics Engineering Team, this role will provide great exposure to the perfect coordination needed to achieve a top performance as a fast-growing consumer tech startup.

What you’ll do in 12 months

• Become the master chef of CookUnity's performance metrics. By collaborating with analysts and leaders, you will craft the comprehensive frameworks that rationalize metrics into a coherent set of input and output metrics that holistically measure our performance. Your metric frameworks will be the north star for measuring our impact, guiding the company toward achieving success in our outcomes with scientific precision. Success will be measured through full coverage of our business models and initiatives with approved, well-understood metrics before each performance cycle begins.
• Partner to cook up measurable, impactful key results. Work hand-in-hand with BizOps and the leadership team to pinpoint the key results metrics that define success. Your insight will ensure these metrics are not only relevant but are also actionable from day one of the performance cycle, providing a clear roadmap to success. Success will be measured by the implementation of key results metrics in Snowflake for reporting on a timescale of days, minimizing the gap between setting OKRs and knowing how we’re performing
• Achieve fully automated end-to-end performance reporting from writing SQL in Snowflake to automate the end to end process for updating Key Result reporting across the company. By developing metric tables and enhancing Excel and Snowflake reporting capabilities, you'll ensure everyone has the facts about performance on a routine basis (e.g., daily, weekly). Automate the reporting of the production of the presentations so we can spend time on crafting the performance story instead of crafting and reformatting slides. Success will be measured through 0 (human) hours spent on updating the performance management packs each cycle.
• Bake in time to tools to craft the Performance Story: Lead the end-to-end investigation into our data to uncover the compelling performance story each cycle. Collaborate with domain-specific data analysts to dive deep into visualization and dashboards, creating narratives that resonate. Success will be measured through Leadership's unanimous agreement on performance clarity and the limited time required to reach this understanding, reflecting your pivotal role in data storytelling.
