The role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering Platform team. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure and platforms that support our business applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our platform is resilient, efficient, and secure.

You’ll be:

Designing and implementing robust, scalable, and reliable platform solutions.

Collaborating with software developers, QA, and other teams to deliver high-quality products and services.

Optimising platform performance, stability, scalability and reliability.

Ensuring security best practices and compliance across the platform.

Automating and improving development and release processes.

Maintaining and optimising our cloud datastores (Postgres, Redis, PubSub).

Troubleshooting complex platform issues and providing expert guidance.

Mentoring and coaching junior engineers and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Collaborating in cross-functional teams to drive platform strategy and direction.

We’re looking for someone who has:

Strong experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Expertise in containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and best practices.

Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

Experience with Cloudflare.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, or similar.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

It’s a bonus if you have:

Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus or Loki.

Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).

Experience in a DevOps or Agile environment.
