Job description

Events and Ambassador Coordinator
About Tetra

Tetra is leading the clean energy transformation by adding transparency and efficiency into a forgotten industry. We're revolutionizing how homeowners adopt energy-efficient heating and cooling systems, reducing carbon emissions while lowering utility bills. Our platform creates a seamless experience for homeowners while "super powering" contractors by automating administrative tasks so they can focus on installation excellence and customer happiness.

We're transforming heating and cooling replacements for property owners, a $120 billion industry which makes up 12% of total energy usage in the US. Federal and state governments allocate billions in incentives to help homeowners choose high-efficiency systems—now at unprecedented levels thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022—but these dollars are historically underutilized due to lack of customer awareness. We're democratizing and unlocking those incentive dollars starting in Massachusetts and expanding to new markets.

About The Role

The Events and Ambassador Coordinator will drive community engagement through strategic event planning and execution to increase awareness and adoption of energy-efficient home heating and cooling solutions. This role is responsible for managing a team of brand ambassadors who connect directly with homeowners in targeted communities, creating memorable experiences that educate and inspire action.

This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, a passion for sustainability, and experience in event management. Reporting to Tetra's VP of Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in achieving our community outreach and growth goals.

Our 35-strong team is mostly based near Boston and New York City, but we're distributed across 12 states (and 7 countries) and work remotely. This role, while based wherever you call home, will contribute to Tetra's mission to revolutionize clean energy adoption.

What You Will Do

Event Strategy & Execution:

  • Plan and execute community engagement at local events in targeted towns to educate homeowners about energy-efficient heating and cooling options
  • Develop innovative event concepts that drive attendance and meaningful engagement while maintaining a visually appealing and professional presentation.
  • Create detailed event logistics plans, including venue selection, scheduling, equipment needs, and materials
  • Apply for and secure all necessary event permits and authorizations from local municipalities

Ambassador Team Management:

  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of Brand Ambassadors who represent Tetra at community events
  • Develop comprehensive training programs on Tetra's mission, products, and homeowner engagement techniques
  • Schedule ambassador assignments and evaluate performance against KPIs
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to the Brand Ambassador team to foster a cohesive and high-performing group.

Performance Tracking & Optimization:

  • Monitor event performance metrics including attendance, engagement rates, lead generation, and conversion rates
  • Continuously test, iterate, and optimize event strategies for better results
  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Address any conduct concerns or performance challenges among team members promptly, escalating them to the appropriate channels when necessary

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with marketing, sales, and product teams to align event strategies with overall business objectives
  • Collaborate with local partners, venues, and vendors to ensure successful event execution
  • Work with incentive specialists to clearly communicate available rebates and financial benefits to homeowners

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive annual events budget
  • Allocate funds strategically across different events and locations to maximize impact
  • Track expenses and provide regular financial reports
  • Identify opportunities to optimize resource allocation
  • Forecast future budget needs based on event performance data and expansion plans
Who You Are

  • Passion for sustainability and clean energy initiatives
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within target communities
  • Proficiency with event management software and tools

Benefits
