Job Description:

DTN is seeking a Senior Product Manager - Weather & Climate Intelligence to lead the development and execution of our product strategy for innovative SaaS solutions that leverage weather, business intelligence, and AI/ML to solve operational challenges for our customers. This role will be crucial in shaping the next phase of profitable growth in our weather and climate intelligence platforms.

What you will be responsible for:

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Lead the development of the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer needs

  • Prioritize engineering efforts based on deep understanding of the product roadmap, market research, customer feedback, and business impact

  • Articulate new features and priorities through epics and user stories, enabling engineering teams to understand the rationale and customer impact

Customer Insights & Market Research  

  • Define and execute GTM strategies for new offerings, aligning sales, marketing, and product leadership for success

  • Gather and analyze customer feedback, industry trends, and competitive insights to shape product decisions and identify new opportunities

Product Execution

  • Build strong relationships with engineering, design, and leadership teams, continuously improving Product Management partnerships

  • Manage product P&L in alignment with company objectives

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies, including Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, and End of Sprint Demos

  • Attend industry trade shows, customer gatherings, and travel to meet customers to understand their unique businesses and needs

Metrics & Performance  

  • Monitor key product performance metrics and contribute to continuous product improvements

  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of AI/ML techniques and how predictive models can be embedded in SaaS and API solutions

What you will bring to the role:

  • Highly experienced in Product Management with B2B or B2C SaaS products in agile environments with frequent releases and continuous learning

  • Strong analytical aptitude and demonstrated history of using data and insights to guide product decisions through A/B or multivariate testing

  • Familiarity with basic financial concepts and financial planning/budgeting experience

  • Experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, ProductBoard)

  • Strong grasp of weather and climate-related markets, including key industry trends, data analytics, and user workflows

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to synthesize complex information into simple terminology and facilitate communication between business/client-facing and internal teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and adapt in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Demonstrated understanding of how various industries leverage weather and climate intelligence to inform operational strategies

  • Experience partnering with Data Science teams to build AI/ML models that translate data into actionable insights for improved customer decision-making

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between USD 108,750 and 145,000. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
