Title: Sr. Analyst - Product Owner
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Product Owner – Senior Analyst at Duck Creek Technologies plays a critical role in defining, prioritizing, and delivering software solutions that align with business objectives. This position serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring that requirements are well-defined and executed efficiently. Operating within an agile environment, the Product Owner drives product vision, maintains a structured roadmap, and ensures alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
Collaborate with Product Owners and Product Managers to understand business needs and priorities within designated product spaces.
Work with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to define product requirements and specifications that align with Duck Creek Technologies' strategic initiatives.
Conduct research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscapes within the global insurance industry.
Engage with customers and third-party stakeholders to gather feedback, refine product requirements, and ensure alignment with emerging industry demands.
Analyze and document compliance requirements to ensure product adherence to regulatory standards.
Assist in prioritizing and managing the product backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and long-term goals.
Translate business requirements into detailed functional requirements for product teams, ensuring clarity and feasibility.
Monitor and evaluate product performance, providing data-driven insights for continuous improvement and innovation.
Support the development of user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases to drive feature development and product enhancements.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to validate functionality, address issues, and ensure high-quality product outcomes.
Act as a liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, customers, and third-party partners to facilitate clear communication and collaboration.
Maintain comprehensive documentation related to market research, compliance requirements, product functionality, and workflows to support informed decision-making.
Perform all other duties and activities as required.
Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring all deliverables contribute to overarching company goals.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
3+ years of functional experience in a related role within software development, product management, or business analysis
PREFERRED:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience in the insurance technology industry or a global software company is highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors:
Strong understanding of agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
Proficiency in documenting and analyzing business and functional requirements.
Knowledge of software development, lifecycles and product management best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills with a structured and analytical approach to decision-making.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience conducting research and synthesizing findings into actionable insights.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality deliverables.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Experience documenting compliance and regulatory requirements.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global team.
Proficiency in using product management tools and software, such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
Comprehensive understanding of insurance markets; US and Global markets preferred.
Industry knowledge related to ACORD forms, ACORD XML, ACORD AL3, XPath mapping, XML layout creation, ACORD Help File, ACORD data translations, preferred.
Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Mural, etc).
Familiarity with UX/UI principles and usability testing.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with customers, Product Owners, Product Managers, and third-party stakeholders.
Strong understanding of general SaaS design patterns, modern data architecture and machine learning patterns
