Job Description:
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Senior Director of Academic Affairs, State Authorization and Licensure Intern will provide research and organizational skills to support efforts for ensuring compliance with state regulations and requirements for offering educational programs across state lines for NC-SARA and non NC-SARA colleges and universities within The Community Solution Education System (The System). In addition, research skills will be used to identify state licensure requirements for key programs offered in the colleges and universities of this system. Work will include research for international strategies in Canada and India.
Key Responsibilities:
· Regulatory Research: Find and identify key requirements for state authorization and licensure, identifying areas of opportunity and risk for academic programs across The System.
· Documentation & Recordkeeping: Explore the web, identifying the appropriate authorities for state authorization and licensure details, cataloging them for use across The System.
· Organization & Functional Storage: Develop methods to organize and present the data in ways that are useful and relatively easy to update. The final presentation will include the rational and functionality of the storage method developed.
Qualifications:
· Conduct Web Research: Gather data from various online sources, including state regulatory bodies and professional organizations to identify criteria necessary for compliance.
· Skilled in Organizing Software: Experience using SharePoint or Microsoft tools to organize and present the data discovered during research.
· Collaboration & Coordination: With the assistance of key Academic Affairs staff, collaborate with state authorization and licensure experts across the colleges and universities to share resources and collect feedback on the presentation of the final product.
· Writing & Communication: Assist with the production of standard operating procedures for activities related to state authorization and licensure.
Knowledge & Skillsets:
· Curiosity to drive web-based research and ask questions.
· Strong administrative and organizational skills, including the ability to create workflows, facilitate process management, and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs).
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including faculty and staff.
· Ability to use data to make informed decisions and drive improvements.
· Attention to detail, transaction tracking, and documentation is a must.
Education:
· At a minimum, a bachelor’s degree with demonstrated writing skills and research knowledge.
