About Pavago:

Pavago is looking for an experienced and talented WordPress Designer and Developer to deliver custom digital solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will create visually appealing, user-centric WordPress websites that align with the client’s business goals. You will be responsible for both designing and developing WordPress websites, ensuring they are functional, responsive, and aligned with the client’s vision.

Responsibilities:

  • WordPress Design & Development: Manage WordPress website projects from concept to completion, including creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and fully functional websites. Ensure responsive, accessible designs and write clean, efficient code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript within the WordPress environment.
  • Theme Customization: Customize WordPress themes to meet specific client requirements, ensuring consistent branding and a user-friendly experience. Build custom themes or child themes when needed.
  • Front-End Development: Build and maintain interactive, responsive features using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks like jQuery or React. Focus on performance optimization, mobile responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility within WordPress.
  • Back-End Development (Preferred): Work with PHP to integrate custom functionality into WordPress. Ensure seamless integration of front-end designs with databases and APIs using WordPress back-end services.
  • Maintenance & Updates: Manage WordPress updates, security patches, and plugins. Optimize existing websites for speed, accessibility, and SEO. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues within the WordPress ecosystem.
  • Content Management: Manage website content using the WordPress CMS, including theme customization and template adjustments for consistency and design.
  • Innovation: Stay updated on the latest WordPress design trends, plugins, and development techniques to improve website aesthetics and functionality.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a WordPress Designer and Developer with a portfolio of responsive WordPress design and development work. Expertise with WordPress themes, plugins, and customization is a must.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) and development tools like Visual Studio Code. Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and best practices for web standards, SEO, and accessibility, specifically within the WordPress framework.
  • WordPress Expertise: Deep experience with WordPress and its core functionality, including custom theme development, plugin integration, and back-end customization using PHP.
  • Development Skills (Preferred): Experience with PHP, Node.js, or other back-end technologies is a plus, particularly for integrating databases and APIs within WordPress.
