This position is responsible for managing research for specific products/business units, which includes collaborating with stakeholders to determine research priorities, creating research roadmaps, planning and conducting research, and publishing research results. In conducting research, the Efficacy Research Manager will design research, recruit partner sites for efficacy studies, monitor and manage research risks, oversee data collection, conduct data analysis, write reports, and communicate results with stakeholders. To be successful, the Efficacy Research Manager must be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate colleagues, and with district and school personnel.

Position Information: This is a regular, full-time position, reporting to the Research Director.

 

Compensation: Base pay is anticipated to be between $81,701 and $95,000 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.

 

Location: In this US-based position your location will be remote.

Envision Your Experience.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify research needs and priorities.
  • Create research roadmaps/plans for specific business units. 
  • Manage research conducted for business units including experimental, quasi-experimental, and correlational studies.
  • Manage all aspects of research conducted with schools/districts including participating in recruitment discussions, obtaining district agreements to participate in research and share data, and monitoring/managing research health and risks. 
  • Manage research projects by creating project plans and timelines, communicating with stakeholders, and delivering results.
  • Collaborate with external research partners in conducting experimental and quasi-experimental research.
  • Collect, clean, and otherwise prepare datasets for data analysis.
  • Conduct comparative and/or correlational data analyses that meet or exceed industry standards for rigorous research practices.
  • Write, edit, and publish reports that highlight the impact of company programs on student achievement.
  • Disseminate research results to support corporate initiatives and priorities, making cross-departmental presentations.
  • Other duties as required.

Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:

  • A Master’s or Ph.D. in educational psychology, cognitive psychology, statistics, public administration, or a related field, with 3–5 years of direct research experience and demonstrated project management proficiency; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • K-12 experience is required.
  • Strong expertise in educational research methodologies and quantitative statistical analysis commonly used in evaluation research.
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and listening skills to effectively convey research findings and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to think strategically and flexibly, identifying problems and implementing effective solutions.
  • Strong follow-through, attention to detail, and a results-driven mindset.
  • A collaborative team player who can build and maintain strong relationships with internal colleagues and external partners.
  • Proficiency in standard project management tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in R, Stata, or SPSS; knowledge of database languages such as SQL is strongly preferred.
