The FTD software "Water Management Application" (WMA) is currently in use by multiple Fortune 500 companies. It is continuously under development. The Director of BD will be responsible for fueling our business into the future. This person must be strategic, relational, flexible and able to lead on many fronts. The Director of BD will help to develop and drive BD methodologies of offering WMaaS to new types of customers. Director of business development will initiate and supervise POC (prove of concept) activities.
The Director of BD will work directly with FTD leadership.
Job Description

BD System and Organization Development:
Take ownership and manage FTD CRM system.
Develop new processes that will enable productive initiation and execution of the POC activities.
Lead project team to execute POC activities positioning for WMaaS contracts.
BD Strategy Development
Analyze the market, potential clients, and market trends.
Developing business strategies tailored to the industrial sector.
Client Acquisition And Relationship Management
Participate in conferences and other industry events to engage with new FTD customers to drive business development resulting in a positive impact in the industry and revenue stream for the company.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with new clients.
Understanding client needs and connecting those needs to FTD software tools and services.
Proposal And Contract Development
Collaborating with FTD project managers and the CSM lead to guide development of the service proposal and contracts.
Negotiating contracts and agreements with industrial clients and partners.
Marketing And Promotion
Collaborating with internal and external marketing resources to create marketing collateral.
Supporting marketing team and PR firm to increase brand visibility in the industrial sector.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in environmental or chemical engineering (a relevant degree and BD experience would be considered)
Background in a technical field advantageous.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical and a business development position, combined.
