Steel Sports is a Social Impact organization, located in ten (10) different regions from coast to coast. THE ROLE
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Sports Marketing Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sports marketing, communications, social media management, and graphic design within the youth sports industry.

Responsibilities
Communications:
- Assist in drafting press releases, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Coordinate communication efforts with coaches, parents, and athletes to ensure timely dissemination of information.
- Support the development of internal and external communication strategies.
Social Media Management
- Manage and update social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) to increase engagement and brand awareness.
- Create compelling content, including graphics, videos, and posts, to showcase our programs, events, and success stories.
- Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and opportunities to engage with our audience.
Graphic Design
- Design eye-catching graphics, banners, flyers, and digital assets for marketing campaigns and events.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop visually appealing materials that align with brand guidelines and messaging.
- Assist in creating multimedia content, including infographics and presentations, to support marketing initiatives.
Event Support
- Provide on-site support during sports events, tournaments, and community outreach activities.
- Assist in coordinating event logistics, including setup, signage, and promotional materials.
- Capture photos and videos to document event highlights and generate content for marketing purposes.

Requirements
- Be responsible, flexible, hard-working, ethical, and committed to the mission of Steel Sports.
- Be able to start on or around May 19, 2025.
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program, pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and experience managing organizational accounts.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and willingness to learn new tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to commit to a minimum of 20 per week for the duration of the internship.
- Works effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions, and perceptions.
- A commitment to improving conditions and providing opportunities for all youth.
- Able to encounter challenges with a solution mindset and remain optimistic despite setbacks.
- Has flexibility and adaptability in work style and in work environments.
- Able to meet deadlines and complete tasks/projects on time.
- Members must have access to consistently reliable transportation (if applicable).
