Job Overview
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will be responsible for cultivating relationships with current and future thought leaders in academic and clinical medicine as assigned. The position carries out planned field activities associated with advancing the knowledge of current available data as well as generating new data with our products. The MSL provides research results and new concepts in medical treatment to physicians and medical personnel affiliated with key institutions. Goals will be accomplished by the development and execution of a regional MSL business plan in concert with the Company’s overall strategy. The West Region includes: WA, OR, CA, ID, NV, MT, WY, UT, AZ, CO, NM, TX.
Candidates must live within region.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with Medical Experts utilizing scientific evidence-based materials.
- Deliver credible presentations
- Gain insights from physicians that may impact product strategies and tactics
- Generate ideas and Implement scientific projects including IIS trials in line with our overall medical strategies
- Provide medical support and training to colleagues
- Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance to Company policies
Qualifications - Skills & Requirements
- Experience in Hematology field is preferred with prior MSL experience required.
- Excellent planning, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret results, excellent ability to present scientific data to scientific and lay audiences.
- Ability to build strong relationships with peers and cross functionally. Knowledge of drug development and regulations.
- Ability to establish high level of knowledge of assigned therapeutic area and scientific expertise with ability to interact with relevant experts.
- Ability to manage operational workload and effectively multi-task
Education & Experience
- MD, PhD, PharmD. If no advanced degree minimum of 2 years in prior medical affairs roles.
