Director of Financial Planning and Analysis - Job Description:

360training.com is looking for a passionate, dynamic, and strategic Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. This position is responsible for the annual budgeting process, financial modeling, and forecasting, and producing analyses that the management team needs to drive the company’s growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expense, and capital expenditure.
• Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.
• Develop, implement, and maintain budgeting, financial forecasting, and modeling tools.
• Develop and manage a team of financial analysts in the future as business growth warrants, including setting goals and expectations.
• Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to leadership for decision making purposes.
• Create and present financial reports to leadership team.
• Prepare ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested.
• Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiency and understand ROI in marketing programs, menu pricing, new rollouts, and new projects.
• Financially dissect business and product lines, channels, and products to determine their profitability and identify opportunities
• Work closely with Sales to develop, implement, and operationalize sales compensation plans
• Work closely with Sales and Marketing to develop the proper analytics around the sales funnel and pipeline
  
  
  

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong Financial Acumen – Must possess deep expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Advanced Analytical Capabilities – Ability to analyze key performance indicators, identify trends, and determine the root causes of financial variances.
• Data-Driven Decision Making – Must be able to dissect financial and business data to provide meaningful insights for leadership.
• Technical Proficiency – Advanced Excel skills are explicitly required, which suggests expertise in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and complex data manipulation.
• Proactive & Strategic Thinker – Must be capable of identifying opportunities for growth and profitability beyond just reporting numbers.
• Process Improvement Mindset – Expected to evaluate and refine financial processes to drive efficiency and ROI across various company initiatives.
• Strong Communication & Presentation Skills – Required to create and present financial reports to the leadership team, making complex financial data understandable and actionable.
• Ability to Influence & Persuade – The role requires an individual who can drive performance through persuasion rather than direct authority.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and other departments, requiring the ability to translate financial insights into strategic recommendations.
