Your mission:

You will join the Energy Procurement team of Architectural Glass Europe & Americas and Automotive Glass Europe.

Your primary objective will be to define and implement the strategy of your sub-category. You will be a key player; Nitrogen (N₂), Hydrogen (H₂), and Oxygen (O₂) being strategic energies for our Upstream sites. Your role will be to ensure cost efficiency, security of supply, and alignment with AGC’s operational needs.


Your main areas of responsibility will be:


Strategic Sourcing & Category Management


• Develop and implement a category strategy for industrial gases (N₂, H₂, O₂).

• Monitor market trends, supplier innovations, and regulatory developments to optimize AGC’s supply chain.

• Ensure risk management and security of supply for all upstream sites.


Supplier & Contract Management


• Negotiate contracts with major international suppliers to secure competitive pricing and service levels.

• Conduct regular contract reviews and performance evaluations.

• Develop strong relationships with key suppliers while identifying alternative sources to enhance competition.


Cross-functional Collaboration


• Work closely with technical teams to align procurement decisions with operational and process needs.

• Collaborate with legal teams to review and optimize contract terms.

• Work closely with local plant managers and operational teams to guarantee a reliable industrial gas (IG) supply while optimizing costs.


Cost Optimization & Continuous Improvement


• Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements in IG procurement and usage.

• Implement best practices in procurement, benchmarking against industry standards.


Your talents :


• You have an engineering or master degree in supply chain, business, economics or equivalent

• You have ideally a first experience in international Purchasing

• You are a good communicator, able to create a network

• You have strong negotiation skills and are able develop solid long-term relationship with suppliers

• You have good analytic and problem solving skills

• You are attentive to details with the ability to see the big picture

• You are fluent in English, any other European language is a plus

• MS office proficient, Power BI and SAP MM are a plus

• You are passionate by innovation, energy efficiency and environmental solutions.

• You want to contribute to further reducing our company carbon foot-print

• Ready to travel occasionally in Europe
