Overview

The HR M&A Center of Excellence (COE) Leader will report to the Corporate VP of HR Technologies, Operations, and Compliance. This pivotal role is responsible for spearheading the HR M&A COE, ensuring seamless HR due diligence and integration processes. The COE Leader will collaborate closely with Business and Functional M&A Teams to ensure that all necessary processes and resources are in place.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Collaborate with Functional and Business M&A Teams to establish and maintain documented processes that ensure the consistent integration of acquired employees into Gallagher’s benefit plans, payroll, and standard HR procedures, in compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor the M&A pipeline to ensure adequate resources are available to support HR integration efforts.
  • Oversee activities across various integration workstreams, including divisional and functional HR integration tasks, to ensure smooth execution and alignment of all processes.
  • Manage a team of M&A HR COE project managers, allocating resources efficiently to partner with Business HR leads during due diligence and post-close integration phases for various M&A deals.
  • Communicate the status of active and pending M&A activities to HR Leadership.
  • Facilitate processes for HR and Functional Team Leadership regarding non-standard M&A integration and policy exception requests, escalating exceptions to ensure thorough analysis and approval by leadership and subject matter authorities.
  • Implement processes to measure, monitor, and report on project/transition activities, milestones, dependencies, status, KPIs, and issues/risks.
  • Oversee comprehensive integration and onboarding processes across HR Centers of Excellence to ensure an optimal employee integration and onboarding experience. Lead the implementation of process improvements in collaboration with the COE PM team and other stakeholders.
  • Lead HR Integration efforts for large multinational deals, providing status updates and representing the HR workstream to the Integration Management Office and HR Leadership.

About You

Required:

  • Bachelors degree 7 years related experience required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, administrative and project management skills, along with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to build and maintain business partnerships and communicate in a collaborative way across functions and teams.
  • Knowledge of applicable HR related laws and guidelines.

Highly Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Shown project management experience with the ability to lead large projects involving multiple workstreams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels, driving impact without direct authority.
  • Expertise in Human Resources business processes and practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience conveying technical and business concepts to a global employee audience using diverse communication methods.
  • Prior consulting experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) HR integration.
  • Leadership experience in a Project Management Office is a plus.
