Job description

Potential Client: International Tax & Insurance Company.

Job Role: Senior Automation Engineer (based in Spain).

Description: We are seeking a dedicated Senior Automation Engineer with specialised experience in building application frameworks to remove human intervention in specific manual process.

This role is ideal for someone who excels in standardising tasks, making them repeatable and then automating the task. This individual will have a strong background in implementing automated solutions. The candidate should be adept at working remotely and on premises, showcasing exceptional communication abilities, and possess the skills to innovate and independently address intricate challenge.

Based in Spain, ideally Barcelona.

Functions/ Requirements

Mandatory requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing automation solutions.
  • Experience in cloud-based implementations. Hands on development experience.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proficient in leading, implementing and managing the development of automation
  • Solid understanding of cloud-based architectures, particularly within the AWS and Azure Cloud Platform.
  • Experience in architecting, scripting and coding automation solutions.
  • Ability to work on prem and in a remote setting, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deep knowledge of the CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in a cloud context.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues using observability tools.
  • Proven track record of enhancing system performance and reliability through effective tools and coding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a group of developers.
  • Possess the ability to think outside of the box.
  • Figure ways to standardize manual tasks and then automate the process to remove human interaction.
  • Implement and manage the solutions on cloud or on prem, leveraging different platforms and frameworks.
  • Build solutions to ensure high availability and performance of applications and services in the cloud and on prem.
  • Collaborate and work with development teams.
  • Help layout the governance and standards for implementing the automated solutions
  • Lead detailed analysis and troubleshooting of complex system issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest automation development tools/applications.
