Job description

Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000

Candidates must reside in one of the following states to be eligible: WA, OR, UT, AZ, MT, TX, CO

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals and contractors to execute cutting-edge IT and software initiatives.
  • Oversee key areas including endpoint management, IT operations and administration, integration leveraging APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL), and ensuring peak reliability, security, and compliance in daily IT opera
  • Manage and optimize technology, processes, and resources to support Kyo’s rapidly evolving IT and software landscape.
  • Partner with leadership to understand key company and departmental objectives, and develop strategies to achieve them through innovative solutions.
  • Monitor systems proactively, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure optimal capacity and availability.
  • Ensure timely completion of tickets and projects, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Oversee build, release, and delivery processes for proprietary software products, establishing scalable and efficient procedures for development, testing, and production environments.
  • Work with developers and DevOps teams to architect secure, high-performance IT environments based on industry best practices.
  • Champion security best practices, vulnerability management, and risk mitigation, including logging, auditing, incident tracking, and disaster recovery initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to shape and refine product roadmaps.
  • Continuously improve SDLC processes and drive operational excellence.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience managing IT, Engineering, and/or Operations teams in a high-growth, cross-functional environment.
  • Proven experience with IT and software development operations, including planning and implementing new systems and major upgrades.
  • Strong expertise in business analysis, user requirements documentation, and business process mapping, with the ability to assess business needs and conduct build-vs-buy evaluations. Capable of discerning the technology landscape to procure, implement, and integrate software solutions that align with organizational goals.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure; AWS Certification is a plus.
  • Expertise in DevOps, including orchestration, configuration management, CI/CD, release automation, monitoring, and security.
  • Working knowledge of AWS services, Jira, GitLab, Node.js, and  MSSQL Server; cloud-based DBA experience is a plus.
  • Experience with healthcare IT security, privacy, and compliance frameworks (HIPAA or HITRUST) is a major advantage.
  • Comfortable operating in an agile, fast-paced environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with generative AI and its applications in automation, data analytics, and IT operations is a plus.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Generally, the incumbent must be able to sit or stand and use a computer for extended periods of time.  
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 
  • Ability to write, read and interpret documents in the English language such as employee handbooks, training materials and procedure manuals.
  • Strong internet connection and professional environment with the ability to utilize video conferencing for long periods of time with limited interruptions.
