Title: Asurion Security Operations Center Supervisor

Overview:
As an essential component of Asurion’s Global Security and Risk organization, the Asurion Security Operations Center (ASOC) is a facility designed, equipped and staffed 24/7/365 to monitor a variety of critical security systems across the company’s global footprint. The center is the single point of contact pertaining to security matters for all employees and assets around the world. The ASOC supervisor is an individual with experience managing people, processes and technology in a command or operations center environment. The supervisor will provide leadership to shift-based operators, tactical program oversight, policy and procedure development, as well as technical project management. Specific functional areas of responsibility and proficiency include: security alarm monitoring principles, security systems administering, dispatching and coordinating allocation of resources, stakeholder (customers and operational partners) involvement, data-driven (metrics) reporting, team and task-specific performance assessment, travel safety and security and critical incident response management.
Role and Responsibilities:
· Lead and develop a well-trained ASOC Team with core competencies necessary to manage risk, stay ahead of security threats or position team to effectively mitigate risk.
· Supervising complex people, process and technical projects with well-developed problem solving skills.
· Assist ASOC leadership in the selection, training and other administrative tasks pertaining to the ASOC staff and schedules training sessions to ensure all analysts are cross-trained on all aspects of center’s operations.
· Reporting and notification of critical and non-critical events from initial discovery and providing updates to Asurion leadership through resolution.
· Direct tasks during the initial phase of crisis response in accordance with established Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity protocols.
· Oversee physical access control at multiple global sites through the current Lenel operating system to monitor and verify authorized and any attempts of unauthorized entry to Asurion property including those areas deemed critical and requiring special access authority.
· Gathering and analyzing data to create useful metrics that support positive change.
· Drive the development of innovative threat reporting operations, processes and tools from concept to delivery with an Asurion focus on the latest innovations, virtualization and aggregating large amounts of data.
· Direct interrogation of various video management systems to provide documentation, and in some cases, evidence of occurrences on Asurion property.
· Supervise Asurion’s monitoring of cargo shipments to mitigate the risk of theft and other cargo security threats.
· Proactively identify circumstances with the potential to affect Asurion business operations, travelers and assets; collect and disseminate information to enhance situational awareness.
· Review daily reports that document all ASOC activity.
· Facilitate emergency notifications to sites globally via Asurion’s mass notification platform to enhance the security and safety of employees.
· Provide guidance to onsite uniformed security staff and Asurion employees initiating an immediate security response among international sites.
· Performance of all other duties assigned by Asurion Security Operations Center Senior Manager
· Management of physical security systems and network servers / supporting technology tools for both on-prem and cloud-based environments.
· Troubleshooting of system issues and outages and taking corrective action to remediate system failures.
· Maintain level of expertise to train supporting staff and internal business partners on system technologies.
· Collaboration with Information Technology staff to modify or assess current operating systems and application software to reduce or mitigate system vulnerabilities.
Minimum Education, Licenses and Certifications Required:
· High School Diploma required
· Bachelors or graduate degree from an accredited university preferred
· ASIS CPP or similar certification preferred
Specific Experience and Attributes Required
· Formal training in the planning, implementation, maintenance and management of central alarm, access control and closed circuit television systems.
· A minimum of three (3) years of security related experience within the last 5 years.
· Prior work experience with security systems, including administering access control systems, alarm monitoring, closed circuit television systems, telecommunications systems, and video surveillance.
· In addition to minimum requirements, preferably possess one or more of the following:
o Law enforcement experience
o Military Service
o Intelligence gathering tradecraft
o Graduate of Police/Corrections Academy
o Criminal Justice/Security Degree, Associate or higher

· Must be at least 21 years old.
· Must be a U.S. citizen or foreign citizen legally authorized to work in the United States.
· Be willing and able to work flexible schedules.
· Must be able to pass a drug screening test with negative results.
· Must be able to pass an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, and employment and education verifications.
· Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military.
