Job description

The Educational Equality Institute (TEEI) is a nonprofit organization based in Oslo dedicated to creating equal educational opportunities for underserved communities. Through Language Connect for Ukraine (LCU), we connect Ukrainians with volunteers for meaningful 1:1 language practice sessions. This initiative supports Ukrainians in Norway as they work to improve their language skills, build confidence, and integrate into Norwegian society.

About the Role
As a Language Practice Volunteer, you’ll engage directly with Ukrainian participants in flexible language sessions. This is a unique opportunity to foster cultural understanding and provide vital support to individuals rebuilding their lives in Norway.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct language practice sessions with Ukrainian participants, either online or in person.
  • Offer practical guidance to improve conversational skills in Norwegian or English.
  • Encourage and support participants in a relaxed, friendly environment.
  • Adapt sessions to match your availability and your participant’s goals.
