The Head of Professional Services will lead and scale an efficient, and customer-centric PS organization that drives advisory and implementation services to accelerate product adoption and retention. This role will own P&L, pricing strategy, and financial performance, ensuring operational efficiency and global scalability.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in SaaS Professional Services, financial management, and global service delivery, with a strong ability to balance customer value, cost structure, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Business Value
- Lead a high-performing PS team delivering implementation and advisory services that drive rapid Time to Value and customer outcomes.
- Partner with Sales, CS, and Product to develop service offerings that enhance adoption, expansion, and retention.
- Oversee strategic investment areas while ensuring financial accountability.
- Represent the voice of the customer to influence product development and service improvements.
Financial & Operational Performance
- Own PS P&L, targeting a break-even margin (+/-5%) while funding strategic investments.
- Optimize cost structure and pricing strategy to align with defined margin targets while maintaining customer value.
- Effectively manage resource allocation across onshore and offshore teams to support financial and operational objectives.
- Implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency, automation, and service scalability.
Sales Alignment & Pricing Strategy
- Define PS pricing, packaging, and discounting strategies to improve profitability and competitiveness.
- Partner with Sales and Partners to develop structured service offerings that drive deal value.
- Establish clear scoping and contracting processes to streamline quoting and execution.
- Support sales motions by articulating the value of Professional Services in achieving business outcomes.
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent across the Professional Services team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous learning.
- Strategically expand offshore teams while maintaining service quality and expertise.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for metrics such as utilization, margin, effective rate, and customer satisfaction.
- Use data insights to optimize service offerings, pricing, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with Finance & Operations to refine forecasting, reporting, and profitability metrics.
Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years in Professional Services, SaaS implementations, or consulting, with 5+ years leading teams.
- Proven P&L ownership, with experience in utilization, pricing, and cost-to-serve management.
- Strong expertise in recurring revenue models, adoption strategies, and customer retention.
- Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence executives and drive business change.
- And yes—a great sense of humor is a plus!
Bonus/Preferred Experience (Nice to Have, but Not Required)
- Understanding of Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) and its role in digital transformation.
- Knowledge of API integrations, middleware, and enterprise system connectivity (ERP, CRM, eCommerce).
Education & Additional Information
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- Experience implementing SaaS technology products in complex enterprise environments.
- Ability to travel based on business needs.
Celigo reasonably expects to pay a base salary between $225,000 and $250,000 per year for this position. Actual starting base pay will be determined by skills, experience, geographic location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, benefits, or other perks as outlined in any formal employment offer made.
