Financial Operations Specialist | Req#3808

ActioNet has an opportunity for a Financial Operations (FinOps) Specialist. This role is remote and based in Suitland, MD.

Job Description:

• Assist in applying common industry best practices to customers using a knowledge base to create conceptual business models.
• Identify relevant issues and considerations in selecting application software packages.
• Assess the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its components.
• Help define the direction and strategy for engagements, ensuring that organizational needs are addressed.
• Typical areas addressed include Human Resources, Finance, Supply, and Operations.
• Identify information technology inadequacies or deficiencies that affect the functional area’s ability to meet organizational goals.
• Generate functional area strategies to enhance IT operations across cross-functional areas in the organization.
• Participate in account strategy sessions, strategic assessments, and design reviews to validate the enterprise approach and associated work products (e.g., ERP implementations).
• Coordinate the resolution of highly complex problems and tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing business models and strategies for selecting application software packages.
• Evaluate the functional baseline of the organization and help define strategies to address IT deficiencies.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure organizational needs are met with appropriate IT solutions.
• Participate in the resolution of complex IT and operational issues, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimize operations and improve IT capabilities.

Requirements:

• Education: Commensurate with experience and education.
• Experience: Relevant experience in financial operations or IT strategy, including ERP implementations.
• Experience in Human Resources, Finance, Supply, and Operations.
• Ability to identify IT inadequacies and develop strategies for improvement.
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration and managing strategic initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills for assessing operational and functional baselines.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, for collaborating with stakeholders and presenting solutions.
