The Insurance Offer department is at the heart of Alan's mission to be a trusted health partner. We simplify the insurance process for hundreds of thousands of customers across various countries by crafting straightforward and customizable coverage options. Our scalable distribution stack enables swift and straightforward subscriptions.
🛠️ What you'll build:
Engineer our acquisition tools end-to-end: Sales, or even prospects themselves, are autonomous to customize coverages, compute the right price and receive contracts for signature in one go.
Scale our renewal engine: It pilots the yearly review and adjustment of coverages and prices for our entire portfolio, while taking into account changes in legal requirements, consumption trends and economical conditions.
Develop new capabilities and markets: We continuously broaden Alan's capabilities. Beyond incremental changes, we're making paradigm shifts every year - for instance, in 2024 we tailored the price computation for each prospect while boosting Sales efficiency by 50+%. In 2025, we are building an advanced customization of guarantees.

👥 Who we're looking for:
Skilled Backend Engineer: You should have a strong background in backend development with a keen interest in full-stack projects.
Problem Solver: A passion for transforming complex systems into simple, elegant solutions is crucial.
Experienced Builder: You should have experience designing scalable systems that efficiently handle real-world complexities.
We are looking for engineers with 3+ years of experience to help us scale our Engineering community from different perspectives (product, tech, and internal organization-wise):
You’ll be able to tackle high-impact & high-risk projects involving many engineers.
You’ll design efficient systems and engineering practices to align with and facilitate interactions between multiple teams/products.
You’ll have the opportunity to mentor other engineers & lead crews (more details in this article).
You’ll be able to contribute to hiring your future coworkers and shape candidates’ hiring experience (improving our technical assessment process etc...)
You would be a good fit at Alan if most of this sounds like you:
Well-versed in Object Oriented Programming such as Python, Java, C#, and enthusiastic about web technologies such as modern Javascript.
Willing to work in Python/JavaScript (but you don’t need to have experience with those 2 languages!).
Passionate about building products.

Humble and still willing to grow (no matter your seniority!).
Collaborative, enthusiastic about teamwork, learning, and teaching.
Fluent in English (no need to speak French!).
