Instructional Designer/Multimedia Developer - Freelance Consultant

Location: Remote, United States and Costa Rica

About the role
Are you passionate about designing engaging learning experiences that inspire growth and innovation? Do you thrive in creating dynamic multimedia content that captivates audiences and drives the adoption of emerging ideas? If so, we’re looking for YOU to join our Talent Solutions team as part of a specialized talent pool of Multimedia Developer/Instructional Designers. SweetRush is a remote organization and as such all resources must: be technically savvy, have access to a strong internet signal, be comfortable with virtual/instant messaging and conferencing tools, and be generally available during established working hours.

Responsibilities
We are seeking creative professionals who excel in the rapid development of high-impact content for small courses, certifications, and badge programs. Your work will help shape the future of learning by creating bite-sized, visually compelling training experiences on cutting-edge topics such as:  
  • AI Adoption
  • Cryptocurrency Fundamentals
  • Emerging Technologies
  • Leadership in the Digital Age


As part of this freelance talent pool, you’ll contribute to projects that:  

  • Design and produce engaging micro-courses for MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) platforms like LinkedIn Learning, Udemy, etc.  
  • Develop multimedia assets (audio, video, graphics) for certification programs and digital badges.  
  • Craft innovative training ideas that promote professional growth and skill-building. 
     

Essential functions include: 

  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to conceptualize course content and design learning materials.  
  • Rapidly develop high-quality media assets, including audio recordings, video editing, animations, and visual storytelling elements.  
  • Ensure all content aligns with modern instructional design principles while maintaining creativity and relevance.  
  • Stay ahead of trends in technology, education, and social media to create influential training programs.   
Required Skills 

We’re building a team of ID innovators who bring:  

  • Instructional Design Expertise: Experience in creating engaging learning experiences using authoring tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
  • Experience creating courses in all-in-one platforms like Thinkific or Kajabi.  
  • Multimedia Skills: Proficiency in audio/video production tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Canva.  
  • Web Influence: A passion for creating shareable content on MOOC platforms or other social media channels.  
  • Creativity & Agility: Ability to think outside the box while rapidly developing high-quality content under tight deadlines.    
Bonus Skills
  • Learning and Design experience that makes a real impact on professional development
  • Creative innovation and the ability to collaborate with forward-thinking colleagues and work independently with little supervision to bring deliverables to fruition
  • Ability to bring a large toolkit of media, design, and AI tools to the table
