Administration
Serve in providing administrative support to the Central Region
Design and maintain daily, monthly, and annual schedules
Updating calendars with staff related dates and events
Organize, maintain and control a wide variety of files; i.e. confidential files, mailing lists, meeting minutes, etc.
Coordinate meeting logistics including travel, housing, meals plans, etc.
Complete and/or verify expense reports and corporate credit card reports
Draft various forms of correspondence and communications upon request
Provide hospitality for in person meetings
Screen and route calls, email, messages, etc. to the appropriate person or team
Respond to voice mail and e-mail inquiries
Aid in the communication between internal and external individuals and departments
Work in partnership within the team and with other teams on specific events
Stay current with technical and professional growth and development
Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Learn/Master various internal policies and platforms and be ready to help other staff with it
Coordinate/Organize various logistics connected with conferences/events
Find ways to help motivate staff to comply with various actions requested of them in a timely manner
Act as a liaison between various national department's requests/expectations and the area/region you are helping
Fund Development
As required, raise a portion of salary in an amount or percentage agreed upon with Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
Annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Faith
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent education/experience
Basic administrative and organizational skills
A working knowledge of Microsoft Software applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
Demonstrated ability and commitment to work in a diverse team environment
Familiarity with basic Microsoft applications such as Word and Outlook
Effective oral and written communication skills
Willingness to raise a mutually agreed upon amount of personal support, as required
Ability to work under pressure of deadlines
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Open to learn new concepts, methods and skills
Flexible schedule
Detail-oriented, Timely, and able to manage your own work schedule
Able to build healthy working relationships with both those inside InterVarsity (in various different roles) as well as any vendors we use regularly
Pay: This position is funded through personal fundraising. Accordingly, compensation will vary based on the ability of the individual to secure a donor team to fund the cost of his/her salary. The anticipated salary range for this position on a full-time basis (40 hours/week) is dependent on a variety of factors, including location and cost of living. The actual salary received, including any geographic adjustment to account for location and cost of living, is subject to the individual’s ability to raise funds necessary to cover the full amount of such salary within the range set forth in the job posting details.
