About the role
In this role, you will work closely with the Sr. Director of North American Caselaw and the Global Head of Cases to develop the Shepard’s team under a common growth and operating north star, and drive improvements in operational efficiency, revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction. You will help lead the change management required to transition the team into a production environment utilizing Generative AI to create and review GAI output. You will also play an integral role in driving employee engagement and enabling high team performance. You will manage a home-based team of approximately 20 individual contributors located across the Unted States.
Responsibilities:
Maintain innovative, digital, analytics-oriented, transparent, empowered, and flexible culture, and promote diversity and inclusion.
Set and track quality and productivity targets and implement best editorial practices for creating Shepard’s content.
Oversee production of Shepard’s content to ensure it consistently meets established requirements for timeliness, quality and completeness.
Conduct regular coaching sessions, mid-year reviews and annual evaluations for all directs. Continuously monitor performance of individual contributors and work to elevate performance and culture of team.
Manage key internal and external customer queries and complaints.
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
Drive operational effectiveness through AI and other automation efforts.
Support cross-functional initiatives.
Perform quality review of products and create reports as needed.
Develops meaningful caselaw metrics and analytics in alignment with Global Editorial Operations targets.
Requirements:
JD Preferred or Bachelor's degree in law.
3+ years of people management experience preferred.
Strong process-orientation (developing consistent processes, documenting best practices, etc.)
Experience supporting a team through organizational transformation/change.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; ability to synthesize relevant information for Global Editorial Operations and commercial leaders.
Collaborative management style with ability to lead cross-functional, team-based, deadline-intensive strategic initiatives and delivery.
Business/commercial acumen; quantitative and analytical skills.
Excellent organization/project planning, time management, change management across multiple functional groups and departments, and delegation and prioritization skills.
Problem-solving experience, including identifying, researching, and coordinating resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot/diagnose complex issues.
