Join our team if building mathematical models and signal processing means more to you than simply getting the work done.

Where you come in:

  • You will lead modeling efforts to characterize and predict the impact and interactions of various biological processes to sensor accuracy
  • You will build physics-based, first-principles models to predict sensor behavior
  • You will apply data mining and machine learning techniques to extract valuable information and patterns from bench, pre-clinical, and clinical data sets that can be leveraged in support of new technology development
  • You will function as technical lead in pursuit of bench, clinical, and commercial feasibility of new algorithms, collaborating with cross-functional teams, as appropriate
  • You will provide inputs on how to optimize firmware and hardware designs in support of new algorithms; perform tradeoff assessments of algorithmic complexity and availability of system resources
  • You will run simulations and present results to cross-functional teams

What makes you successful:

  • You have deep-rooted understanding of mathematical modeling, optimization, signal processing, statistics,  and machine learning
  • You have an expert degree of proficiency in Matlab, Python, or C/++.
  • You have the ability to run self-directed projects, maintain timelines, transfer technology and execute projects in an early-stage technical environment
  • You have the ability to organize, analyze, and interpret bench, pre-clinical, and clinical data to generate sound insights and conclusions
  • You have the ability to deal with ambiguity/uncertainty and a willingness to try new/challenging endeavors
  • You have the a proven ability to work hands-on and independently in a fast-paced environment
  • You have the a very strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • You have the a demonstrated written and verbal communication skills

Preferred qualification and skills:

  • Master's degree (with 6-7+ yrs experience) or PhD (with 2-3+ years of experience) in biomedical engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, physics, statistics, mathematics or related
  • Past experience in the biosensor field is a plus
  • Prior experience in a regulatory environment, such as, medical devices or pharmaceuticals
  • Capable of understanding academic literature from diverse areas of mathematics, machine learning, statistics, diabetes, biochemistry, and biophysics.

Travel Required:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 8-12 years related experience or Master’s degree and 5-7 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 2-4 years of experience.
