Senior Product Designer (UI Specialist)

About The Role

As a Senior Product Designer (UI Specialist) on our team, you will be primarily responsible for the design and intuitive flow of our core products. Lawyers are a demanding user base, so our products must be engaging, simple and easy to learn in minutes. You will be tasked with overhauling the current design to a new standard as well as engaging with the Product, Customer Success and Engineering teams working with ongoing feature designs as we consider new capabilities we can deliver to lawyers. You'll design, build and iterate on prototypes, deliver polished screens to our engineering team and validate your designs are having a positive impact on actual usage.

We are quickly growing the number of lawyers on the platform and need DraftWise to be compelling, fun and valuable - but we can only do this with your help!

About You

• You have a design portfolio that shows just how good your UI design skills are
• Exceptional communication skills with an emphasis on building trust
• Passion for seeing customers succeed with the product you helped build
• 5+ years of design experience, working on production B2B applications with real users
• Experience collaborating with product, engineering and founders and the ability to synthesize multiple perspectives into a path forward
• Proficiency with Figma (or similar design/prototyping tools)
• Familiarity with CSS utility frameworks such as Tailwind and knowledge of front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js (Nice to have)
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design intuitive and visually compelling interfaces that elevate the user experience across digital platforms while maintaining brand consistency
• Transform complex requirements into elegant, accessible designs that anticipate user needs and behaviours
• Create comprehensive UI components including wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and design systems that seamlessly scale across different devices and screen sizes
• Collaborate with engineers and product to translate designs into functional products while advocating for design quality
• Stay current with emerging UI trends, technologies, and best practices, applying relevant innovations to improve product interfaces
• Conduct design reviews and usability evaluations to continually refine interface solutions based on user feedback and performance metrics
• Contribute to establishing and evolving design guidelines that ensure consistency while allowing for creative problem-solving
• Work with the marketing team to ensure that we have appropriate product representation assets to use

Intro Chat: We want to share with you what we are building and to learn more about your interests and experience. We are searching for enthusiasm, ownership and autonomy. We'd love to see an example of a project you've worked on. (30 mins)

Whiteboard Workshop: We'll share a user need and some background context and we'll ask you to walk us through your research and planning process (45 mins)

Take-Home Project: We'll share a set of features that we have already developed and ask that you spend a small amount of time producing a design (
