We are seeking a Technical Specialist – CRM & Lifecycle Marketing with deep expertise in ESP migrations, email development (HTML/CSS), and technical support within Klaviyo. This role is critical in leading large-scale email platform migrations from legacy ESPs to Klaviyo, ensuring seamless data transfer, automation rebuilding, and integration with other marketing technologies.

You will work closely with marketing, engineering, and data teams to manage data migration, optimize email workflows, and troubleshoot technical issues within Klaviyo. If you have a strong background in enterprise-level ESP transitions, API integrations, and email infrastructure, this is the perfect role for you.

Responsibilities

ESP Migrations & Data Management

  • Lead full-scale ESP migrations from platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Mailchimp, or Iterable into Klaviyo.
  • Manage data extraction, transformation, and migration processes to ensure clean and structured data transfer.
  • Build and test new automation workflows, segmentation structures, and audience lists within Klaviyo.
  • Ensure proper historical email engagement data mapping for accurate reporting and analytics post-migration.
  • Work with APIs and ETL processes to sync customer data between ESPs, eCommerce platforms, and CDPs.
  • Conduct QA testing post-migration to ensure all automations, templates, and integrations function correctly.

Email Development & HTML Coding

  • Develop and optimize responsive email templates using HTML, CSS, and MJML.
  • Implement dynamic content, personalization, and scripting (Liquid for Klaviyo) for advanced customization.
  • Ensure emails render properly across various email clients (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.).
  • Conduct A/B testing on email templates and design elements to maximize engagement.

Technical Support & Klaviyo Platform Optimization

  • Provide technical support for Klaviyo-related issues, integrations, and workflow automation.
  • Troubleshoot deliverability issues, segmentation errors, and automation bugs post-migration.
  • Optimize Klaviyo’s infrastructure, including custom properties, event tracking, and API integrations.
  • Collaborate with developers to integrate Klaviyo with eCommerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and other marketing technologies.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze email performance, deliverability, and engagement metrics post-migration.
  • Develop custom reporting dashboards within Klaviyo to track email ROI, segmentation effectiveness, and automation performance.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and audience segmentation refinements based on data insights.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in ESP migrations and email marketing technology, with a focus on Klaviyo.
  • Proven experience in enterprise-level ESP transitions, including data mapping, automation rebuilding, and API integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Liquid scripting for email development.
  • Hands-on experience with data transformation, ETL processes, and CRM integrations.
  • Familiarity with email deliverability best practices, DNS settings (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and compliance regulations (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CCPA).

Preferred

  • Experience migrating from Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Iterable, HubSpot, or other ESPs to Klaviyo.
  • Strong understanding of API calls, webhooks, and eCommerce integrations (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce).
  • Knowledge of customer data platforms (CDPs), audience segmentation strategies, and automation workflows.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python, JavaScript) for automation and API management.
