Businessolver is in search of an experienced Technical Business Intelligence/Analytics Product Manager to lead and define our BI/analytics roadmap. This role offers the unique opportunity to collaborate closely with our dynamic teams in BI, machine learning, data science, and product development, driving innovation and shaping the future of our data-driven initiatives. You will be instrumental to ensure our BI initiatives align with our business needs to support client growth and retention, empower data-driven decision-making, craft tailored user experiences, and gain operational efficiencies. We are looking for someone who possess a unique blend of business savvy and realism, who has an in-depth understanding of the business landscape and has the capacity to set achievable expectations, aligning technical capabilities with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap for BI and analytics offerings, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy, delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate to technical requirements and BI solutions.
  • Work with engineering, design, and data science teams to develop data models, dashboards, and reports to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Work with internal stakeholders (sales/marketing, client teams, call center) to drive product adoption, retention, and growth.
  • Stay up to date with competitor insights and industry trends and emerging technologies in business intelligence to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure product performance and inform future development decisions.
  • Facilitate product training and provide ongoing support to ensure customer and team understanding and product success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science or Data Analytics, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of BI development or product management experience, preferably with a background of building analytic products intended for external/client stakeholders vs. internal stakeholders.
  • Expertise in BI tools, data warehousing, data modeling, and analytics platforms.

Technical requirements:

  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in using statistical tools and techniques to analyze data and generate insights. Familiarity with hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and other data analysis methodologies.
  • Data Democratization: Experience democratizing data to emphasize the accessibility and comprehensibility of data across the organization. Key focus on enhancing the value derived from data in the shortest possible timeframe.
  • Business Intelligence Tools: Extensive experience with BI visualization tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI or similar platforms for creating dashboards and reports. Experience with AWS Cloud and Quicksight are preferred but not required.
  • Data Warehousing: Understanding of data warehousing concepts, including data storage, data mining, and the ability to work with large data sets.
  • SQL and Databases: Ability to write SQL (or Python) queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis. Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
  • ETL Processes: Understanding of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes for integrating, cleaning, and consolidating data from various sources.
  • Data Modeling: Skills in data modeling and the ability to understand and design data schemas for analytics and reporting purposes.
  • Machine Learning: Basic understanding of machine learning algorithms and their application in predictive analytics can be beneficial.
  • APIs: Knowledge of how to integrate with various APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) to pull in data from different services.
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, particularly their data and analytics offerings.
  • Proven ability to develop product strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and experience with product management tools and services.

The pay range for this position is 89K to 140K per year (pay to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data).

Other Compensation: This role will be eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan.
