Job Description

We are seeking a Senior System Specification Engineer to join our team at Nokia. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and solving complex engineering problems in the radio technologies area, creating and reviewing requirements for functional, design, and interface specifications based on system and hardware specifications, and collaborating with product and technical managers to scope and analyze new features. You will also work closely with software architects and developers to design new functionalities, plan your work, deliver effort estimates for tasks, and adapt to changing priorities. How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

We are looking for a talented individual who can analyze higher-level requirements and cooperate with architecture to define Radio Frequency internal design, in order to impact the evolution of RF Architecture.

As part of the team, you will:

  • Describe requirements and interactions between RF components in a clear and concise manner
  • Lead the technical execution of functionalities in collaboration with implementation and testing teams
  • Make informed technical decisions on design-critical aspects while balancing technical and business benefits
  • Refine new feature proposals to enhance product offerings
  • Train and mentor R&D teams to foster a culture of continuous learning and growth

Key Skills And Experience

You have:

  • Basic knowledge of software projects
  • Experience in carrier-grade embedded systems development
  • Some knowledge of FPGA/ASIC design
  • General understanding about 4G and 5G radio access networks
  • Some knowledge of RF signal processing
  • Effective teamwork, co-operation and communication skills
  • Fluent English, both spoken and written

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Good understanding of the SoC (ASIC/FPGA) or Low level SW design flow and process
  • Capability and will to lead and coordinate on technical topics
  • Pro-activity and independent problem-solving through own experience and network
  • Abilities for planning daily activities and using JIRA
  • Fluent verbal communication and writing skills in English
