Summary

Responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of the various SharePoint environments – both Online and OnPrem - to support a diverse range of business operations. Working in support of multi-functional Global teams, maintain and ensure all deployed SharePoint environments are fully optimised to ensure business efficiency, productivity and performance.

Reporting To

Learning Design Lead

Primary Tasks

  • Develop SharePoint solutions by studying requirements; conferring with internal and external stakeholders; studying business systems flow and work processes.
  • Propose suggested solutions to the SharePoint environment based on stakeholders’ operational requirements, with ability to make recommendations based on Key Business priorities
  • Perform software design using software development fundamentals and processes, debug, test, and deploy SharePoint and associated software solutions.
  • Design, develop, deploy and maintain key components of the SharePoint suite encompassing SharePoint Online and SharePoint On-Premise
  • Liaise closely with Line Manager and multi-disciplinary technical team to understand the design requirements, resolve questions of program intent, data input and output requirements, and advise on how it can be implemented technically within constraints.
  • Design, develop, test and deploy SharePoint-based workflows including use of Microsoft Flow / UI Flow.
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, code comments and clear code.
  • Actively participate in product design reviews by providing creative and practical ideas and solutions in a teamwork environment.
  • Strong capability to self-manage allocated work activities relative to the requirements set out by stakeholders and IT management.
  • Strong capability to operate independently and work collaboratively as part of a Global Team
  • Build proof of concept models where requested.
  • Maintain product software and demos for business purposes.
  • Protects GP and client operations by keeping information confidential.

Subject Matter Expert

  • Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on SharePoint and associated applications
  • Point of Contact (POC) for GP Teams to provide support and assist with system or application queries.

Other Responsibilities

  • Participate in the staff development programme and within the agreed individual staff development plan

Essential Requirements

  • Must have excellent English communication skills
  • Must have excellent English written skills
  • Minimum 3 Years SharePoint Online developer experience
  • Experience in converting custom classic web parts in to SPFx web parts and building modern pages
  • Experience working with React, Knockout, Angular and other JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience working with HTML, CSS
  • Experience working with Power Platform
  • Experience working with Microsoft Flow and UI Flow
  • Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities in a cross-functional environment.
  • Good requirements gathering and analysis experience
  • IT Related Work Experience.

Desirable Requirements

  • SharePoint Development Life Cycle.
  • Experience working in the Training Sector.
  • Experience/ knowledge of migrations to later versions of on-prem SharePoint, and to SharePoint online.
  • Familiarity with Accessibility Standards and complying with WCAG 2.1/2 AA.
