Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our quality engineering team. As an SDET, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated test frameworks and tools to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our software solutions. You will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to integrate testing into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and drive continuous improvement in software quality.
Key Responsibilities
Test Automation Development
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
Test Strategy & Frameworks
• Maintain and enhance our test automation frameworks and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
Collaboration & Agile Testing
• Work closely with developers, product teams, and DevOps engineers to ensure test coverage and quality throughout the SDLC.
Defect Identification & Debugging
• Analyse test results, identify defects, and provide actionable feedback for resolution.
Performance & Security Testing
• Contribute to performance, scalability, and security testing initiatives.
Continuous Improvement
• Stay updated with the latest test automation tools and industry best practices to improve software testing processes.
Test Data Management
• Create and manage test data to support automated and manual testing efforts.
Key Skills & Experience
• Strong programming skills in C#
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, TestNG, JUnit).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling) and security testing fundamentals.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber or SpecFlow.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• ISTQB or equivalent certification in software testing.
•Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
