About the Role

We're looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who's passionate about quality and test automation to join our team. In this role, you'll build and maintain our automated testing infrastructure using cutting-edge tools and approaches to ensure our products are robust, reliable, and deliver an excellent user experience.

What You'll Do
  • Design and implement end-to-end test automation strategies using modern frameworks like Playwright

  • Integrate AI-powered test creation tools to improve test coverage and efficiency

  • Collaborate with developers to implement testable code and improve overall quality

  • Create and maintain automated test suites that run as part of our CI/CD pipeline

  • Identify opportunities to improve test processes and tooling

  • Debug complex issues across different environments and platforms

  • Advocate for quality practices throughout the development lifecycle

Incident Response & Security
  • Triage and help resolve engineering support issues, prioritizing critical customer-facing problems

  • Participate in on-call rotations (during business hours) to respond to major outages and incidents

  • Contribute to post-mortem analyses and implement preventative measures

  • Help monitor application security and performance using appropriate tools

  • Identify potential security vulnerabilities through testing and code review

  • Collaborate with the security team to address issues and implement best practices

  • Stay informed about emerging security threats and testing methodologies

Skills & Experience
  • Strong programming skills with experience writing automated tests (Python experience preferred)

  • Experience with modern E2E testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, or similar)

  • Knowledge of AI-assisted testing tools and approaches

  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and test integration

  • Ability to write clean, maintainable test code

  • Experience with version control systems (Git)

  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

Bonus Points
  • Experience with API testing and mocking solutions

  • Knowledge of performance testing methodologies

  • Experience using AI test automation tools (such as functionize, mabl, testgrid, et al)

  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)

  • Contributions to open-source testing tools or frameworks

  • Experience with visual regression testing
