Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior ERP Project Manager with expertise in Infor M3 implementations to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a commercial mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to balance clients’ best interests with the company’s strategic objectives. Candidates must have a record of senior leadership in the consulting industry.

The Senior ERP Project Manager at Columbus M3 provides a high degree of leadership to the project team, serving to facilitate the activities that meet the project objectives both on time and on-budget. In this opportunity you will be responsible for full PM lifecycle, build of project ERP plans, management of scope, scheduled, resources and budget. You will also oversee client relationship management, risk management, and reporting.

Note: This is a remote opportunity and can be based from any location in the United States.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end implementation of Infor M3 projects, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including milestones, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring effective communication and alignment among cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Manage enterprise-level budgets, proactively monitoring budget to actuals and reporting thereof.
  • Communicate project status to both the project team and c-suite executives, recommending project risk mitigation and adaptations as appropriate.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering trust and ensuring a positive client experience.
  • Proactively identify and resolve customer issues, balancing client satisfaction with Columbus’ best interests.
  • Manage escalations with diplomacy and professionalism, ensuring swift and effective resolution while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with sales and pre-sales teams to draft detailed and accurate SOWs, clearly defining project scope, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Facilitate the estimation of project budgets, timelines, and resource needs with precision to ensure realistic client expectations and profitable outcomes.
  • Forecast and allocate project resources, ensuring optimal utilization while minimizing resource conflicts.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to project deliverables and quality standards.
  • Provide project management leadership for all project implementation activities, go-live, upgrades or major enhancement “projects”.
  • Ensure project management planning and status review processes are completed with regularity each week and PM deliverables are kept current.
  • Ensure project team follows M3 Methodology and is producing deliverables to standards and on schedule.
  • Participate in weekly resource planning with other PMs and management to get resources assigned to project tasks in an efficient manner to use available resources
  • Adaptable to scheduled work activities which will be concentrated during morning hours to include European entities involved in projects.
  • Act as customer advocate, ensuring a project’s approach and deliverables are focused on meeting the client’s most critical objectives.
  • Review and understand the contractual terms and scope of assigned projects.
  • Conduct both an internal project kickoff meeting and a client project kickoff meeting.
  • Review key deliverables to assure scope and budget remain aligned.
  • Hold weekly status meetings and create progress/issues report.
  • Maintain the project plan using Microsoft Project.
  • Communicate key dates, risks, and impediments to all project stakeholders and create. regular progress reports for consumption by C-level client executives.
  • Ensure project setup, time, and expense entry are recorded properly.
  • Perform time and expense reviews.

Skill Requirements & Experience:

  • 7+ years of ERP project management experience.
  • Must have software implementation experience specifically with Infor M3.
  • 7+ external client facing consulting experience (with leadership experience being a plus).
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, contracts, and profitability.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to manage client escalations effectively.
  • Experience must encompass the management of budget, risks, resources, scope, issues, changes, and quality.
  • Expertise in writing statements of work, project estimation, and resource forecasting.
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle client and employee escalations with empathy, diplomacy, and fairness
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field. PMP certification is preferred.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Experience working with global project team.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
