Product Manager – IoT and Cellular Devices

Job Overview: 

Tactacam is searching for a Product Manager to join our Product Development Engineering team. This role will focus on developing new lines of Camera and Cellular IoT devices for consumer and private outdoor applications. The ideal candidate will have experience managing IoT products throughout their life cycle, evaluating markets, developing specifications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring innovative products to market. 

This individual will work closely with both internal design teams and contract design and manufacturing partners, serving as the voice of the customer to ensure products meet specifications and exceed expectations.

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

4-7 years of experience in IoT consumer products. 

Experience in market evaluation, product specifications, and product strategy

development. 

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent work experience (preferred). Experience managing stage-gate processes for product development. 

Strong verbal and written communication skills. 

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment. 

Experience working with third-party ODM and contract manufacturers to develop, test, and troubleshoot products.

Strong organizational and project timeline planning skills. 

Desired Skills: 

Strong influencing and leadership skills. 

 Experience organizing and leading brainstorming sessions, documenting discussions, and summarizing key directions. 

 Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects. 

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools. 

Experience using Gantt charts, MS Project, or similar project planning software.  Familiarity with IoT standards and Cellular LTE industry trends.
