Job Overview 

We are seeking a talented Linux Engineer to manage and maintain Linux-based systems and infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain, update, and troubleshoot Fedora- and Amazon Linux-based servers to ensure 24x7 uptime
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot system packages (backup, monitoring agents) and services (Atlassian products, Git, Zabbix)
  • Monitor server and service performance, integrity, and security (firewalls, white lists, fail-to-ban)
  • Collaborate with IT Security and address their requests promptly
  • Document activities and system status, and use service desk systems for communication
  • Suggest and implement improvements in security, performance, capacity, and scalability
  • Develop and upgrade scripts and applications for automation

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Linux administration experience
  • 2+ years of AWS experience with medium-sized networks (VPCs, instances, SGs, gateways, VPN) and basic understanding of IP routing and BGP
  • Proficiency in access control models, network security, and hardening Linux servers
  • Strong knowledge of network administration, architecture, and security (IP routing, firewalls, VPN)
  • Experience with network diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (bash, Python, Perl) and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Service Desk (Jira, ZenDesk) and documentation tools (Confluence, Zoho Wiki)
  • Commitment to best Change Management practices (no changes without requests and proper documentation updates)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Spoken English (B1+)
