Job description

STGC Technologies Consulting is the Canadian subsidiary of Summit Technology Consulting Group/Allocore, providing modern SaaS solutions in the financial services and fraud prevention sectors.

We are seeking a candidate for a full-time remote role for a Backend Development Technical Lead (Python/Django). The Technical Lead will oversee backend development projects, lead a team of developers, and ensure the technical quality and delivery of solutions.

Qualifications

Must reside in and be legally allowed to work in Canada
5+ years of experience developing REST APIs in Python with the Django framework
5+ years of experience interacting with relational databases (Postgres preferred)
3+ years of experience with Docker and Docker Compose
3+ years of experience leading a team of developers, including performing code reviews and mentoring and training team members
Experience with AWS EKS and other AWS services considered an asset
Solid proficiency developing secure, performant, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions and designs for complex requirements
Strong understanding of software development principles
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Must be self motivated with a desire to work in a fast paced environment with a talented team of professionals

Location: Canada - remote - eastern time working hours
