Description

The Senior Director, Strategic Pricing and Contracting will be responsible for leading strategy development for payer/provider contracts, performance analytics, and overall pricing. This role is also responsible for leading the Operations team covering contracting and analytics, developing contracting and pricing strategies across all payer segments, partnering with the Market Access account team, and working cross-functionally with internal departments.


Essential to success is an outstanding internal partnership with various Commercial functions to include, but not limited to, Market Access Field Teams, Marketing, Legal, Compliance and Finance. Externally, the role will oversee our vendor relationships with organizations who conduct our government price reporting function, forecasting, revenue recognition, inventory management, and ensure all pricing and contracting administration is compliant. Priority will be internal pricing governance, price reporting, and contract administration. This is a remote-based position located in the United States.


Responsibilities:

  • Establish pricing and contracting strategies for all payer/provider channels, gain approval, implement strategies, propose corrective actions as market dynamics change, and achieve corporate goals while monitoring the potential impacts of strategies on government pricing and GTN
  • Establish key performance indicators, build performance dashboards, analyze performance, and recommend actions to drive contracting initiatives resulting in growth and profitability
  • Manage contracting operations and analytics
  • Partner with the Market Access accounts teams to develop payer/provider strategies, manage contracts and address account specific contracting opportunities and collaborate to explore expanded market opportunities  
  • Working closely with Head of Market Access to monitor market conditions, changes in laws and regulations, and educate internal and external personnel on the implications of any such changes as well as assist with recommendation to senior leadership pertaining to overall market access strategies
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Government Pricing Vendor, Compliance, and other departments to establish consistent business rules and “playbooks” focused on appropriate reporting and compliance with all laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, and the distribution account director to monitor channel behaviors, product expirations, potential returns and impacts on financial reporting 
  • Build and manage pricing and contracting SOP’s and the cross-functional consensus and approval process
  • Serve as Chair of Elevar Therapeutics Pricing Committee
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years; Master’s degree with 12+ years; or PhD with 8+ year’s experience. Proven strategic management experience demonstrating business acumen, developing and delivering strategy and vision, delivering results, championing innovation, coaching and developing subordinates including remote teams.
  • Experience in Oncology, both oral and infusion is highly preferred
  • Demonstrates strong communication and relationship development skills at all levels of the company as well as the customer
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Strong thought leadership and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop strategies, action plans, and metrics to monitor results 
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to a wide variety of people
  • Skilled at listening to others, identifying challenges and opportunities, and proactively acting on information
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Proficient with a variety of computer programs and systems, at an advanced level, including Word, Excel, Email, Internet, databases, etc.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this role is $220,000 to $285,000. Final compensation depends on multiple factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skillset, depth and breadth of knowledge, internal equity, and external market factors.
