We’re filling this role for a client – A science-backed brand delivering GLP-1 companion products.
This role is a unique opportunity to build a category-defining, science-backed brand that delivers innovative solutions to help the millions navigating the complexities and opportunities of GLP-1 drugs, weight loss, and diabetes management. The team has spent two years preparing all of the product and brand assets, and funded the company to provide the new CEO with ample runway and bandwidth to define their own growth strategy.
We believe that the most transformative leaders are those whose personal motivations align with the mission they serve. Our ideal CEO for this GLP-1 focused health management system is someone who not only has the professional expertise to scale a brand but also deeply understands the challenges of weight management, whether through personal experience or professional exposure.
We are building the first ever scientifically-backed dual system designed to help GLP-1 patients reach their weight loss goals while looking and feeling their best. We have interviewed thousands of people on the medication to determine core need states and have built holistic, innovative products that address gut, beauty and strength needs on a daily basis. More than that, we've tapped into a vibrant community of users who want to help each other and who prioritize both internal and external health and beauty.
We believe that people should not have to struggle through their GLP-1 experience: we’re here to make it better. While most companies are focused on just building companion products, as an extension to a whole host of other things they sell/offer that have nothing to do with GLP-1 users, we believe in the need to actually build the first ever companion brand for GLP-1 customers that speaks directly, solely and authentically to them from a holistic perspective. This is a brand built by and for our GLP-1 customer.
We’re looking for a leader whose passion stems from one or more of the following:
Personal Journey with or Connection to Weight Management:
You or a close family member have struggled with weight loss yourself, explored a variety of products and services, and are excited to create new solutions to help others overcome similar challenges.
Experience with GLP-1 Drugs:
You’ve used GLP-1 medications, are intrigued by their potential, and are eager to address the challenges and opportunities they present—especially in making them more accessible and promoting healthy administration.
Passion for the Weight Loss Industry:
You have a deep understanding of the weight loss space, including its key players, trends, and opportunities. You’re excited by the chance to lead in a space ripe with innovation and to solve real problems for diverse consumer demographics. You keep abreast of all of the latest developments and innovations in the health and wellness sector.
Startup Leadership in Health & Wellness or Food & Beverage CPG:
You’ve been a founder, co-founder, or early executive at a F&B or health and wellness CPG startup, with a focus on sales, marketing, and/or driving revenue growth.
Leadership in Weight Loss Platforms or Services:
You’ve been a founder, executive, or GM at a weight loss-focused platform, service provider, or supplement company with core responsibilities for revenue generation and consumer engagement.
This is a role for someone whose personal and professional alignment fuels their ability to deeply understand the industry, consumer needs, and the problem we’re solving.
Craft and Execute a Bold Vision: Evolve the company’s strategic direction from the foundations built at the venture studio, and ensure alignment across the board, team, and external stakeholders.
Design and Drive a Go-To-Market Strategy: Lead by example in creating an actionable and detailed GTM plan that addresses market positioning, customer acquisition, and revenue generation. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of both DTC and retail channels, and an ability to successfully scale distribution via real accounts like Target and CVS.
Represent the Brand: As leader of the brand you will be the public face and need to evangelize the mission with core external and internal stakeholders via press, conferences and other key media platforms.
Build and Scale the Brand: Evolve a unique brand identity, from the foundations built by the team, that resonates with GLP-1 users and weight management consumers.
Lead with Data-Driven Decisions: Use consumer insights, industry trends, and performance metrics to guide the company’s direction.
Foster a High-Performance Culture: Cultivate an internal environment of shared purpose, collaboration, and entrepreneurial energy.
Recruit and Build a High-Performing Team: Identify, attract, and onboard top-tier talent. Establish a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence.
