Managers are expected to show the following skills/experience.

  • 3-5 years of work experience in accounting preferably from different industries or an accounting firm where they handle client accounts,  Quickbooks, QBO and payroll software,
  • Excellent English communication
  • Develops and strengthens long-term relationships with senior client management and peer client levels.
  • Develops and is accountable for the assignment work plan and ensures assigned tasks and responsibilities are achieved.
  • Plans, organizes and controls multiple responsibilities and resources to achieve assignment objectives.
  • In consultation with the Partner helps to develop solutions for clients and manages the implementation of ideas.
  • Advises, coaches and supports team members including providing consistent recognition and encouragement to team members to increase retention and utilization.
  • Successfully builds, directs and maintains a motivated and empowered work team.
  • Structures work teams to successfully meet client expectations and help develop strong client partnerships.
  • Manages the assignment budget and profitability in their area of responsibility.
  • Development of functional specialization and/or industry expertise.
  • Supports the partner/s in developing new initiatives to increase retention, meet resourcing needs (including recruitment interviews), utilization and people development.
  • Builds strong coaching skills.
  • Shares and transfers knowledge in the team.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience with team management responsibilities
  • Bachelor degree of Accounting or related field; CPAs preferred but not required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a strong command of English
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills, including:
  • City, County and State Tax Reporting
  • A/P, A/R and payroll
  • Bank, credit card and investment reconciliations
  • Annual accounting filings (1099s, W2s, etc)
  • Strong understanding of the financials, Balance Sheet/Income Statement
  • Must be able to work 40 hours work week, with opportunities to work overtime as needed to client requests.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook etc)
  • Familiar with Accounting related software (working knowledge of QuickBooks (Desktop & Online), Sage, Netsuite, Various Payroll softwares, etc.)
  • Ability to embrace technology and willingness to learn new software applications.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including flexibility and open-mindedness
  • Have a high sense of integrity and teamwork
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality of all client information gathered
  • Big 4 experience is an advantage
