As a Backend Engineer at Privy, you will take on large areas of ownership in Privy’s product, architecture, and infrastructure. Because we build a developer tool, engineering and product are inextricably connected. We value intuitive interfaces, simplicity, and rapid iteration. Build core Privy features and infrastructure that advance our security posture and safeguard data and assets for tens of millions of users
Design and implement product features end-to-end, driven by user needs
Build service infrastructure to support a fast-growing product and user-base and invest in our internal developer experience
Advocate for usability and interface coherence across our team and product
Experience building and maintaining a production system at scale
An understanding of modern API development best practices and design
Experience in building data models, managing database migrations and best practices, and infrastructure configuration
Experience writing delightful developer documentation
Experience with React, Typescript, Next.js, AWS/Terraform, Vercel
Written open-source developer tooling
Published about your work (open source code, internal or external presentations, blog posts, etc.)
Past experience working in authentication or security
